Bruce Springsteen announces seven unpublished albums

### Bruce Springsteen Announces Seven Unpublished Albums in “Tracks II: The Lost Albums”

**April 6, 2025 – New York, NY**

Bruce Springsteen, the iconic rocker affectionately dubbed “The Boss,” has sent fans into a frenzy with the announcement of *Tracks II: The Lost Albums*, a massive collection of seven previously unreleased albums set to drop on June 27, 2025. Unveiled on April 3, the project features 83 songs—74 of which have never been officially heard—spanning a creative period from 1983 to 2018. Springsteen shared the news via Instagram, calling it a chance for fans to finally experience music he’s kept close for decades.

In a statement, Springsteen explained that these “lost albums” were fully realized records, some even mixed and ready for release, but shelved for various reasons. “I’ve played this music to myself and often close friends for years now,” he said. “I’m glad you’ll get a chance to finally hear them. I hope you enjoy them.” The collection, available through Sony Music, will come in multiple formats: a 7-CD set, a 9-LP vinyl box, and digitally, with physical editions including a 100-page hardcover book packed with rare photos and liner notes.

The albums—*LA Garage Sessions ’83*, *Streets of Philadelphia Sessions*, *Faithless*, *Somewhere North of Nashville*, *Inyo*, *Twilight Hours*, and *Perfect World*—offer a sonic journey through Springsteen’s home-recording experiments. From the raw, lo-fi bridge between *Nebraska* and *Born in the U.S.A.* to the synth-driven “Drum Loop” explorations of the ‘90s, the set showcases his versatility. Highlights include *Faithless*, a soundtrack for an unmade film, and *Twilight Hours*, an orchestral companion to 2018’s *Western Stars*. A teaser track, “Rain in the River” from *Perfect World*, dropped with the announcement, delivering the arena-ready E Street Band energy fans crave.

Springsteen debunked the myth of a “lost period” in the ‘90s, saying in a promo video, “I was working the whole time.” The collection backs that up, with much of the material hailing from that decade, alongside gems from the ‘80s and 2000s. For those daunted by the full 83-song haul, a 20-track sampler, *Lost and Found: Selections from The Lost Albums*, will also be available as a single CD or double LP.

This follows Springsteen’s first *Tracks* release in 1998, a 4-disc set of outtakes and B-sides. His most recent studio album, *Only the Strong Survive* (2022), was a covers collection, but *Tracks II* promises fresh, original material. As he gears up for a European tour with the E Street Band starting May 17 in Manchester, England, Springsteen’s latest vault dive reaffirms his relentless creativity—and gives fans plenty to celebrate this summer.
